Witness appeal following a serious assault – Banbury

🚨 Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a serious assault in Banbury on Saturday. 

At approximately 3.15am, a nineteen-year-old man was found collapsed on the floor by Banbury Town Hall, High Street, after being assaulted by a group of people. 

The assault occurred close to the bandstand on High Street and continued around the Town Hall onto Market Place. 

As part of our investigation, we are appealing for a number of specific witnesses to come forward, who we believe may have seen what happened or have information to assist our enquiries. 

These witnesses include a woman who the victim took a photo with at around 3am on George Street, two men who appeared to be walking along High Street as the assault was taking place, and the occupants of a dark coloured Ford Fiesta which drove past the pedestrian area on High Street leading onto Broad Street.
